Jadi comparative dan superlative degree of adjective adalah kata sifat yang digunakan untuk membandingkan satu benda dengan yang lain atau mengungkapkan karakteristik benda yang paling… (sesuai dengan kata sifat yang menjelaskan benda tersebut).
Kata Sifat Comparative dan Superlative Degree of Adjective
Seperti halnya kata kerja (verb) dalam Bahasa Inggris, kata sifat degree of adjective ada 2 macam yaitu ada yang beraturan (Regular Adjective) dan ada yang disebut sebagai kata sifat yang tidak beraturan (Irregular Adjective).
Regular Adjective adalah kata sifat perubahan dari positive adjective, comparative adjective, dan superlative adjective lebih teratur karena perubahannya sama di mana kata sifatnya tidak berubah banyak misalnya ditambahkan akhiran –er, -est, atau ditambahkan kata more atau most di depan kata sifat.
Sedangkan Irregular Adjective adalah kata sifat yang perubahan dari kata sifat positif, kata sifat comparatif dan kata sifat superlatif tidak teratur atau tidak berpola, karena kata sifatnya berubah-ubah, tidak beraturan.
